Program & Activities
Here at The Fact tree we are specialist in youth. We understand young people’s needs to socialise and be entertained in a safe and supervised environment. Being young is the time to experience new things!

We also acknowledge activities can be expensive, which is why we aim to provide our programs free of charge. All our programs are designed with this in mind and we encourage young people’s input into our programming.

Some of our core programs at The Fact Tree include:

Graciously sponsored by City of Sydney Council since 2011, After Hours provides a fun and diverse program of activities for young people aged 11-18 years every Friday and Saturday night. The program is based at The Fact Tree Drop-In Centre from 4pm-10pm.

We know that Friday and Saturday nights can be a hard time for young people to find a safe place to hang out with their peers that is free, welcoming and open. This is why the After Hours is a space just for them where they are safely supervised by qualified youth workers.
In the program we run a range of in-house activities and excursions. Some popular activities include: Laser tag, Ice-Skating, Beach BBQ and picnics, Street Art Workshops, Pool competitions and Movie Nights.

School Holiday Programs

When the term ends, The Fact Tree school holiday program is jam packed with free and fun activities and our Drop-In Centre is open for extended hours. Spaces fill up fast so check out what’s on, grab a permission slip and put your name on the activity list.

Young people have always enjoyed activities like Jambaroo, Cable Wake Park, Go Karting, cinematic experiences, Luna Park, Laser Tag, Beach days and Art Workshops.

Workshops

The Fact Tree understands and is responsive to local issues impacting our community. We aim to create opportunities for young people to have a voice, develop skills and connect with their community. Our workshops are responsive to local needs and gives our clients the chance to develop skills and confidence to tackle real-life issues.

Previous successful programs we have run include Young Parents Program, Youth community consultation groups, Young Girls and young Boys groups, Photography skills workshops for Youth Drug & Alcohol health promotion posters and Sexual Health workshops.
